BAI & Safehaven at the Words of Hope: Mental Health Symposium

As we look back on the transformative journey of our Words of Hope: Mental Health Symposium last March 09, we recall the profound impact of our collective dialogue, education, and shared experiences.
In partnership with the Rotaract Club of Bagong Sandigan, Rotaract Club of Cebu Fuente-University of the Visayas Chapter, Safehaven Recovery Village, Battle Against Ignorance Foundation, University of San Carlos-Civil Engineering Council, USC – Collegiate Engineering Council, the Rotaract Club of Cebu Fuente – University of San Carlos invited:
– 𝙈𝙨. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖 𝙂. 𝙇𝙖𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙖, an occupational therapist, to share about the relationship between vice addiction and mental health struggles;
– 𝙈𝙧. 𝙀𝙢𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙚𝙡 𝙇𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙨, the Safehaven Facility Director, to share about his own testimony from being a prominent basketball player of USC to his experience with substance abuse and finding hope and a renewed purpose in life;
– 𝙈𝙧. 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙧𝙪𝙚𝙩, the Executive Director of Battle Against Ignorance Foundation, to share about his life as a fashion and commercial model, actor, and a prominent star of the 90s to his experience with the other side of showbiz and substance abuse to finding hope and renewed purpose in life.
Through enlightening discussions and heartfelt connections, we illuminated pathways towards understanding, empathy, and support for mental health challenges. Let’s cherish the memories of our time together, fueling our ongoing commitment to advocate for awareness, destigmatization, and holistic care. Together, we’ve sown seeds of hope and resilience, nurturing a brighter future for all.
