Not too long ago these 9 beautiful souls were homeless and hopeless, detested and despised, living off the streets as beggars and scavengers. Nobody bothered to “reach out” to them. They were literally and figuratively “hands off” to those who took pity but just watched on the sides. Battle Against Ignorance Foundation and Safehaven Recovery Village refuse to believe they are truly hopeless and “joined hands” in rescuing them. In our own humble way Nognog, Jessica, Rosalia, Berta, Bryan, Julius, Mr. Coke and Brandy are now cared for in a loving and safe environment at Safehaven. Indeed life can get better for the “unwanted” and “unloved”. We cannot do this alone. We need your support to continue saving more souls! BAI Foundation and Safehaven. Facilitating Change. ONE UNFORGETTABLE BIRTHDAY WITH THOSE WE SAVED! For a short period of time I experienced the hard life in the streets. Homeless and hungry. Wherever I lay my tired body, that was “home”. For these 9 whom Battle Against Ignorance Foundation and Safehaven Recovery Village have rescued, they lived in the streets for years! Some DECADES even! So it was only fitting to celebrate my birthday with them on their very first field trip at the beautiful SIRAO GARDEN-LITTLE AMSTERDAM in Busay, Cebu with their very own delicious lechon courtesy of CHINOY’S LECHON! If nobody cared for them before…WE DO! Life indeed can get better for everyone. With just a little love NOBODY IS HOPELESS!
